• No ads and no tracking cookies. We do not run analytics scripts on member pages, sign-in or admin pages. Members get one sign-in cookie (90 days) that's needed to keep them signed in.
• Free tools process locally. The free calculators run in your browser, and files you pick for local analysis or scoring in the member tools are read by your browser and not uploaded.
• Member data contributions are stored. When a member chooses to contribute data on the Contribute page, the de-identified records (intake and outcome dates, species, age group, size, intake type, condition, outcome type, and if the member maps them, sex, spay/neuter status, breed group and color group) are uploaded and stored in a private database hosted by Cloudflare. Other columns are removed in the browser before sending. Contributions are used under the Data Contribution Terms: pooled with other data to build models of shelter outcomes and capacity, never sold, never shown to other shelters except as aggregates of 5+ shelters and 100+ records, and deleted on request.
• Access requests and accounts. When you request access we store your organization details, name, role and work email to review the request and run your membership. Sign-in links are sent by email through our email provider, Resend.
• Hosting logs. Cloudflare processes basic request data (like IP address) to deliver and protect the site and may produce aggregate traffic statistics. We store a one-way hash of the IP address on access requests to limit abuse.
• Email. If you email [email protected], we use your message only to reply.
• Deletion. Members can delete contributions from their dashboard, or email us to delete everything.
